Michael Meyers' Funeral Service Video

Michael George Meyers, age 66 of Shiocton, passed away on Monday, July 18, 2022, at his residence. Michael was born on March 14, 1956, in Neenah to the late George and Marie (Peterson) Meyers. He was united in marriage to Karla Preuss on March 24, 1990, in Shiocton. Michael worked as an electrician for Curwood/Amcor for 47 years, retiring in 2021. He was a hard worker, enjoyed working with his co-workers, and valued a strong work ethic.

Michael loved the outdoors. His favorite things to do was hunting, fishing, and camping. He had a lot of memories of spending time with his family and taking all the kids hunting for their first time. He has many hunting trophies like turkeys, deer, ducks, and bears. To describe his favorite day, he would be sitting around a campfire with a beer in his hand surrounded by family.

Michael is survived by his wife, Karla; children, Kayla Meyers, Krista (Jordan) Elertson, Jayson Sherer, Heather Schmidt, Michael Olson and Matthew (Melissa)Olson; grandchildren, Liam, Summer, Dalton, Jason Jr., Sabrina, Ashley, Haley, Sandy, Kira, Mattheaw, Brianna, Gaven, Abby, Kristian, Zach, Emily; great-grandchildren, Estella, Elijah, and Tralee; siblings, Susan (Scott) Albers, Jeanie (Eugene) Lauer, and Kerry (Jeffrey) Mowry.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents.

The funeral service for Michael will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 23, 2022, at Messiah Lutheran Church in Shiocton, with Rev. Bradley Ragner officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 22, 2022, from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Borchardt Moder Funeral Home in Shiocton and again at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday.
