Mildred Copet's Memorial Service Video

Mildred "Mickey" Lucille Copet of Antigo/ Pickerel/Hortonville, passed away on Saturday, September 24, 2022. Mickey was born on April 30, 1924, in Athens, WI the daughter of Paul and Mary (Grillheisel) Schreiber. She married Arnold (John) on March 6, 1943 in Colby, WI. They celebrated 53 years of marriage. John preceded her in death on February 6, 1996. Mickey was a graduate of Unity High School class of 1942.

After marriage she farmed with her husband in Spencer, WI. In 1946 they moved to Fond du Lac , WI. In 1959 they moved to Appleton and in 1964 to the Town of Menasha. Mickey worked at the Steward Infrared Commissary in Appleton, WI for 19 years as a supervisor. Following her retirement they moved  to Pearson, WI. Mildred was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Pickerel, WI and the Church Altar Society. She was also a member of the Tombstone Snowmobile Club in Pickerel. She volunteered at Langlade Memorial Hospital, Meals on Wheels at St. John's Catholic Church, and served meals at the Community Center. Mickey enjoyed playing cards, dancing, snowmobiling, volunteering, and fishing.

Mickey is survived by two daughters Karen (Steve) West of Hortonville, WI and Kay (Gregg) Cleveland of Bangor, WI, daughter-in-law Ronna Copet of Appleton, two sisters, Marie Von Gnecten of Arizona, and Florence Johnson of Wausau, WI,  six grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and one great, great  grandchild.

Mickey was preceded in death by her husband Arnold (John) Copet, son Dennis, granddaughter Jodi, sister Theresa Terrio and sister Adell Wisnesky.

A memorial mass for Mickey will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 29, 2022 at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Hortonville. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the mass. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Pickerel.  The mass will be live streamed at  ssppp.org. and then click on livestream.
