Nancy Collins Funeral Service Video

Nancy Esther Collins, age 92, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 17, 2025 at St. Joseph Residence in New London. Nancy was born in Milwaukee, the only child of Leo and Pearl (Barndt) Collins.  She loved the early years in Milwaukee and attended and graduated from Christian schools.  Nancy took frequent trips to this area as a child, enjoying many fishing excursions with her father.  Eventually her father, a railroad man, was transferred from Milwaukee to the Winneconne area.  Nancy spent her life being involved with the church.  For many years, she was a Sunday school teacher at Grace Lutheran Church in Winchester.  After her father's death, Nancy and her mother built a new home in New London.  She remained active at Grace Lutheran until she was unable to drive herself to church.  Nancy was a talented artist.  She was a member of the Wolf River Art League.  Nancy loved gardening, both flowers and vegetables.  She thrived being in nature.  She was an avid bird watcher – particularly cardinals.  She loved to read and inspired many students in the New London Schools by volunteering to read with students.  Nancy had no living relatives and relied on good friends to help her keep her home up.  Good neighbor and friends made it possible for Nancy to remain in her house many extra, good years.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, an aunt and uncle and one cousin.

She leaves behind many good friends to treasure her memory.

The Funeral Service for Nancy will be held at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church in Winchester, WI on Thursday, September 25, 2025.  The visitation will take place from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
