Nancy C. Yob, “Nan”, age 88, of New London, passed away on September 2, 2026, in Appleton, WI. Nan was born August 14, 1938, in Chicago, IL, to the late August and Corinne (Shuster) Radtke. After graduating from high school, Nan moved to Illinois to work in downtown Chicago at the Wrigley Building and later moved to Dallas, Texas, to continue to work for Hartford Insurance. After moving back to Michigan, she worked as a secretary in the prosecutor’s office in Kalamazoo, MI. She was united in marriage to Albert “Al” Yob on June 8, 1968, in Kalamazoo, MI. After several years in Niles, MI, Al and Nan moved to Westerville, OH, where Nan was a full-time stay-at-home mom. She was a room mother every year at school and head of the PTA. In 1983, the family moved back to Niles, MI, and Nan began working for Old Kent Bank as a trust assistant. She retired from Old Kent in 2001.
After retirement, Nan enjoyed working as an aide in her daughter’s second-grade classroom and volunteered at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Parish helping with cemetery records. She enjoyed being part of a women’s sorority and attending her exercise classes at the YMCA. In 2018, after Al and Nan moved to New London, she enjoyed volunteering at the senior center and attending exercise and BINGO. Nan loved her family and enjoyed hosting Thanksgiving for over 30 years. She was the happiest when she was with her kids and grandkids and then eventually her great-grandkids. She loved the Fighting Irish and the NBA. Nan loved people and had a way of making you feel like you were special and appreciated. She endured many health challenges in her life, but she never let pain stop her from doing what she wanted to do. She will be missed by so many!
Nan is survived by her children Lynne (Chris) Muller and Larry (Diana) Yob; grandchildren, Ashley (James), Amanda (Steve), Justin, Hanna, Sara (Matthew), and Grace, along with her great-grandchildren Heather, Holden, Hudson, Robert, and Annie, her siblings Bud (Mollie) Radtke, Marge (Doug) Brown, and Kathy (Rick) Lussenden, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Nan was preceded in death by her husband, Albert “Al”, her brother Tom and his wife Esther.
The memorial mass will be held on Tuesday, September 8 at 11:00 a.m. at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church in New London with Fr. David Hoffman officiating. A short visitation beforehand will be held from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the mass. Burial will be on Monday, September 14 at Lindsley Cemetery at 10am, Cheshire Center, Allegan, MI.
