Navee James Gorges, 22, of New London, Wisconsin, passed away on Tuesday, April 21, 2026.
Navee was born on July 25, 2003 in Appleton, Wisconsin to Dan “Digger” and Renae (Harris) Gorges. He grew up enjoying the outdoors; fishing, hunting, baseball, and playing in the woods. He was not a very good swimmer but he kept trying and eventually became a great swimmer. He was fearless. He loved snakes and loved chasing his mom with them even more. He was a “Curious George”, always getting into mischief with his great grandma. He really loved the time spent with his Omie and Opie.
Navee was a hard worker. As a teen, he worked at the Waters Supper Club, and Anglers, before joining the Marines. He was stationed in Okinawa, Japan for 4 years as a CBRN Specialist and had 2 sea service deployments. He moved home in September of 2025 and picked up where he left off as he tried to join the trades.
Navee will be missed by his parents, Dan and Renae; his siblings, Preston and Cassandra; his grandparents, Deb (Jim) Olesen, and Jeff “Putz” (Sue) Gorges; aunts and uncles, Jessie (Todd) Rodgers, Heather Opperman, and Heath (Sarah) Olesen; cousins, Balie (Lawson) Harris, Dalton Davis, Brady Rodgers, Aubree Olesen, Andrew Olesen, and Marcus Opperman; as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
Navee was preceded in death by his grandfather, Marv Harris; great grandparents, Virgina and Marlin Gorges; Uncle John Gorges; Aunt Debbie Koeppl; and numerous other aunts, uncles and other relatives.
