Neal Albert Wingate, age 64, of Fremont, Wisconsin, passed away on Sunday, August 30, 2026 after a battle with COPD and heart issues.

Neal was born on June 8, 1962 to the late Stanley and Janet (Bodoh) Wingate. He graduated from New London High School with the class of 1981.

Neal loved watching his son drive in demolition derbies. He enjoyed latch-hook and gifted them to several of his loved ones. He liked to volunteer at the food pantry in Dale and he loved to travel when he could.

He leaves behind his son, Lucas (Kayla); siblings, Stan Wingate, Ron (Julie) Wingate, Nancy (Randy) Roche, Steve (Tami) Wingate, Joe Johnson and Randy Johnson; nieces and nephews, Joshua (Julie) Roche, Amy (Chris) Timm, Reginald (Lisa) Wingate, Whitney (Mark) Baumann, Riley (Julie) Wingate; and step-nieces, Amanda (Dustin) Lambert and Ashley Zuelsdorf. Neal will also be missed by many friends, especially his friend, Adam Vanevenhoven.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Janet; along with his stepfather, Randall Johnson.

A special thank you to Dr. Miller and the staff of ThedaCare Neenah ICU for the care they gave to Neal.
