Pamela J. DeShaney, age 75 of Readfield, soared into heaven on the wings of angels on Saturday, January 11, 2025.  Pam was born on January 13, 1949 to the late Donald and Carol (DeBroux) Shoman.  She married Gerald "Pete" DeShaney on August 10, 1968 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Menasha.  Pam loved to travel to Jamaica with her husband and best friends, Maryette and Dick and treasured her trip to Mexico with her daughters. Another favorite pastime of Pam's was going on camping trips with her "camping family".  She loved flowers and the work that came with them and in her earlier years was a master seamstress.  In her free time, she played Candy Crush and Cookie Jam.  Pam's faith in God was strong and she was devoted to Christ.  She prayed for everyone.  Pam loved nothing more than spending time with her family.

Pamela is survived by her husband, Gerald "Pete"; children, Dana (Brian) Suprise, Stephanie (Scott) Marks and Peter DeShaney; grandchildren, Zachary (Morgan), Kyle, Connor, Abbigail, Jordan, Morgan and Kendra; great-grandson, Micah; siblings, Peggy (Thomas) Johnson, Paula Tellock and Wendy (Daniel) Aus; in-law, Robert (Sheri) DeShaney, Jeanne (Alan) Lamers, Mary (Robert) Schreiber, Pat Meixl, Jack (Mary) DeShaney, Judy Schoepel, Wendy (Gary) Lodholz, Kim (Rick) Surman and Kerry (Bruce) Goffard.

In addition to her parents, Pamela was preceded in death by her sister, Suzanne Shoman; father and mother-in-law, Clarence and Rita (Wittman) DeShaney; in-laws, Sharon Hopfensperger, Kathy DeShaney, Clarence "Mike" DeShaney, John Meixl, Ron Schoepel, Kenneth Levknecht; nieces, Emily Aus and Terri Schreiber and nephew, Jacob Johnson.

The Memorial Mass for Pamela will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 17, 2025 at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church in New London with Fr. Dave Hoffman officiating.  The visitation will take place from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the mass.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Kamal Abbi and Jennifer Resch, FNP for their compassionate care. Additionally, a special thank you to Annie Levknecht for sharing in our time of grief shortly after Pam's passing.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
