Patricia Bartman's Funeral Service Video

Patricia Ann Bartman, age 74 of New London, passed away at home on Thursday, September 15, 2022, after a courageous battle with ALS, with her loving husband by her side.  Patricia was born in New London on October 1, 1947 to the late Fred A. and Marie A. (Zirbes) Bessette.  She met her husband, Orville G. Bartman in Bear Lake, WI, while roller skating.  They were united in marriage on April 25, 1964 at St. Bridget Church in Royalton.  Patricia worked for twelve years as a school custodian and fourteen years at the local Kwik Trip.  She was a dedicated, loving mother to her two sons, Jerry and Tom.  In her early years, she loved visiting their cottage up north with her family.  After selling the cottage, she and Orville purchased an RV, traveling wherever the world would take them- including casinos, where she enjoyed playing the slot machines.  Patricia also never failed to miss any of her sons' football and basketball games, then later, her grandsons' games.  She loved everything about angels and had a vast collection of them.  She loved tending her flowerbeds, and one of her favorite holidays was Easter, spending time with all her family.

Patricia is survived by her husband of 58 years, Orville; sons, Jerry (Sherry) Bartman and Tom (Wendy) Bartman; grandsons, John (Stephanie) Bartman, Chad (Brooke) Bartman, Logan Bartman and Riley Bartman; great-grandchildren, Kailey and Hayden Bartman; brother, Harold (Sandy) Bessette; brothers-in-law, Leonard Bartman and Buck Greely; sisters-in-law, Audrey Starr and Carmen Bessette.  She is further survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents; in-laws, Carl and Erna Bartman; an infant son, John W. Bartman; her siblings, Fritz Bessette, Lillian Bessette, Leo (Ann) Bessette, Jim Bessette and sisters-in-law, Marilyn (Bartman) Greely and Wanda Bartman.

The funeral service for Patricia will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at Cline & Hanson Funeral Home in New London with Fr. John Kleinschmidt officiating.  Visitation will take place from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.  Burial will be at Highland Memorial Park in Appleton.
