Patricia "Pat" Murphy, age 79 of New London, passed away on Thursday, March 6, 2025 at ThedaCare Appleton Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family. Pat was born on November 11, 1945 in New London to the late Clifford or and Bonita (Finkle) Plowman. She married the love of her life, Richard Murphy on October 3, 1964. Pat was an avid reader, quilter and loved playing cards and hosting tea parties for family and friends. She enjoyed planning and traveling near and far. Pat was blessed with a beautiful singing voice, having sang in many choirs. Pat and BFF Melissa Mulroy (aka) "Have Guitar Will Travel" performed for numerous weddings, baptisms, funerals, and special occasions. She was a member of the traditional Irish music group "The Black Velvet Band". Pat was involved in the startup of the Shamrock Club of New Dublin, and was honored to be the 1994 New Dublin Irish Rose. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were very special to her and spending time with them was one of her favorite things to do.
Pat is survived by her husband, Richard; children, Ron Murphy, Paul (April) Murphy, Jeff Murphy, and Laurie Murphy; her grandchildren, Anthony (Kristi), Timothy, Brady (Alexis), Taylor, Kade (Haley), Olivia, Kira (Jeremy), Kendra (Alex), and Kipp; her great grandchildren, Aili, Annabelle, Aaro, Asa, Ander, Ames, Aeris, Axel, Addison, Declan, Ava, Zayden, Elsie, Morgan, Colton, and Elijah; her sister, Donna Krake, and brother and sister-in-law, Don and Shirley Murphy, along with nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Pat was preceded in death by her siblings, Clarice (Wayne) Toltzman and George (Jane) Plowman.
The Mass of Christian Burial for Pat will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 15, 2025 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Lebanon (New London) with Fr. Dave Hoffman officiating. Visitation will take place from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Greentree Rehabilitation Center and Nursing Facility in Clintonville, ThedaCare Appleton Medical Center and the ThedaCare Hospice team for their loving and compassionate care.
