Phyllis Ione Palmbach, age 97 of Greenville, was finally called home to her Lord and Savior on Monday, December 12, 2022 at Cherry Meadows. Phyllis was born on April 1, 1925 in Hortonville to the late Edwin R. and Gladys (Tellock) Lueck. She was baptized on April 5, 1925 at Immanuel Lutheran Church by Pastor Leonard Kasper and later confirmed on April 2, 1939 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church by Pastor Boettcher. Phyllis was united in marriage to Howard Palmbach on November 3, 1945. He preceded her in death in 1998. Phyllis baked and decorated wedding cakes for decades. She also enjoyed bowling, monthly card club, sewing, and later in her life, counted cross stitch.
Phyllis is survived by her children, Barbara (Charles) Dimler, Keith Palmbach, Bronda (David) Smeltzer and Kevin (Julie) Palmbach; grandchildren, Scott (Debra) Dimler, Sheila (Joesph) McTarsney, Sarah (Michael) Melbostad, Brenda (Brian) Bellile, Tamara Palmbach, Heather (Warren) Cox, Nicholas Smeltzer, Wendy (Andrew) Thompson, Shawn (Pam) Lessor and Craig (Barb) Lessor; great-grandchildren, Alex, Isaac, Emma, Emily, Benjamin, Gabrielle, Ethan, Beau, Samuel, Joseph, Samantha, Dillon, Josephine, Allison, Hayden, Jake and Teagen and her sister-in-law, LaVerne Huth. She is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, Marceda Alf and great-granddaughter, Isabelle Bellile.
The funeral for Phyllis will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Greenville with Rev. Phil Koelpin officiating. The visitation will take place from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park, Appleton.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established for Immanuel Lutheran School.
