Richard Warren Rose, age 90, passed away on Monday, March 23, 2026 at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Appleton. Richard was born August 27, 1935 to the late Richard and Verna (Brown) Rose, in the town of Evergreen, WI. He was a member of the U.S. Army, a Korean Veteran, from 1953 to 1956. He married Martha Servi on February 9th, 1957.

Richard worked for WE Energies, retiring in 1991 after 26 years. In his free time he loved to tinker with old vehicles, restoring them and bringing them back to life. He also enjoyed carpentry, especially helping his family out with projects. He built many homes, including one for each of his children.

Richard is survived by his loving wife, Martha, of 69 years; his son Dave (Dianne) Rose; his daughter Dolly McHugh; his son Darrell (Bonnie) Rose; his son Duane (Julie) Rose and his son Daniel Rose; his grandchildren Heather (Joel) Kamba, Amber (fiancé Brandon) Beyer, Brandon Rose, Krystal (Chase) Thyssen, Amanda McHugh, Matthew (Maureen) McHugh, Chad (Hannah) Rose, Dean Rose, Amy (Chris) Schultz, Tasia (Dipankar) Gogoi, Taner (Kayla) Rose, and Tiara (Spencer) Rubin; great-grandchildren Sawyer, Caleb, Jacob, Isaac, Alana, Bentley, Keeley, Blakely, Everett, Quinn, Killian, Connor, Eamon, Gabriel, William, Hunter, Miles, Carrie, Courtney, Austin, Cheyane, Theo and Huxly. He is further survived by his sister-in-law Patricia Rose and son-in-law Mark McHugh.

He is preceded in death by his parents Richard and Verna Rose, great-grandchildren Emmitt Thyssen and Bow Rose; six brothers, five sisters, four brother-in-laws, and three sister-in-laws.

The funeral service for Richard will be held on Monday, March 30th, 2026 at Cline & Hanson Funeral Home in New London, WI. Visitation will be from 9:00 am until time of service. Service to be held at 11:00 am. Burial will take place at Most Precious Blood Cemetery in New London.

Military Honors will be held and he will arrive in his 1951 Chevy pick up truck per his final request.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to ThedaCare Hospice, especially Heidi; staff at St. Joe's Trinity Terrace, ThedaCare Medical Center Appleton, ThedaCare New London Hospital, and many doctors and nurses.
