Robert John Henry, age 77, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, April 26, 2026. Bob was born September 23, 1948 in Appleton, Wisconsin to the late Harold and Ester (Sassman) Henry.
Bob graduated from Shiocton High School in 1967. He attended Fox Valley Tech for Auto Body. In 1969 he was drafted to the United States Army and fought in the Vietnam War.
Bob married Sharon Ritchie on October 11, 1985. He worked at Ort Saw Mill and then became an over the road truck driver for Kimberly Clark for 17 years. In 1999 he purchased the family farm from his father and was a dairy farmer for 13 years before selling the cattle in 2012. He then cash cropped until his illness in 2025. In his free time, he loved collecting old cars and rebuilding and working on his collection.
Bob is survived by his loving wife, Sharon of 40 years; his brothers, Gene (Marilyn), Jim, and Don Henry; sisters-in-law, Diane (John) Carpenter, Chris Dennee, Carrie (Dean) Bedor; brothers-in-law, Brian, Bruce, Tom (Virginia), and Doug Ritchie; nieces and nephews, Russell (Michelle), Jon (Cheryl), Bradley (Miranda), Jennifer and Ann Henry, Autumn (Kipp) Nordall, Tammy (Billy) Collar, Tina Morack, Tanya (Tracy) Carpenter, John (Tonya) Carpenter, Britney (Nick) Erdmann, Ashley, Alyssa, Christopher, and Michael Ritchie. He is further survived by numerous great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Ester Henry; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Nathan and Betty Ritchie; sisters-in-laws, Barb Henry, and Linda Ritchie; brothers-in-law, David and Duane Ritchie, Mike Dennee; and nephew, Preston Henry.
Sharon would like to extend a special thank you to ThedaCare Hospice (Nadyne was amazing!) and also to everyone at the Cancer Center.
The Funeral Service for Robert will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, May 1, 2026, at Borchardt & Moder Funeral Home in Shiocton, Wisconsin, with Rev. Kevin Dembinski officiating. The visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will take place at Ellington Union Cemetery with full Military Honors.
