Bob Jaeckels' Funeral Mass Video

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the peaceful passing of Robert H. Jaeckels of New London as he was surrounded by his loving family on January 25, 2025 at the age of 89 years.

Bob was born on October 11, 1935 in Clintonville, Wisconsin, the son of Clement and Sophie (Penlesky) Jaeckels. On October 24, 1959 Bob married Janet Rex and they were married for 54 glorious years. They were blessed with three children whom they cherished. Bob enjoyed supporting his children and grandchildren as he attended their various activities varying from sports to the performing arts. He was so proud of each and every one of them and their individual accomplishments. Bob's deep seeded faith and devotion to prayer guided him throughout his life. He was an award winning master cheese maker at Bordens where he was employed for most of his career. As an avid outdoorsman, Bob spent many an hour fishing, hunting, and trapping. He instilled the love for the outdoors into his children. Bob's passion for life burned bright. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Korea and also in the National Guard. He enjoyed reminiscing about his time spent driving the General. Bob married Carol Fischer on July 27, 2019. Bob and Carol were married for five wonderful years.

Bob is survived by his children; daughter Laurie (Scott) Klos; sons Jim (Tina) Jaeckels and Rob Jaeckels; grandchildren Megan and Jenna Klos; Zachary (Alexis) Malliet, Jeremy and Jesse Jaeckels; Noah and Maryssa Jaeckels; great grandson Kamden Malliet; and wife Carol Jaeckels. Bob was preceded in death by his wife Janet Jaeckels; parents Sophie and Clement Jaeckels; brothers and sister Clarence, Dorothy, Edward and Clem as well as numerous other family and friends whom welcomed him home.

The Funeral Mass for Bob will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday January 29, 2025 at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church in New London with the Rev. David Hoffman officiating. Visitation will be at the church on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Full Military Honors will be held at the church. Interment will be in the Parish Cemetery. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to ThedaCare Regional Medical Center-Appleton and ThedaCare Hospice for their compassion and care.

"May God give to you and all whom you love his comfort and his peace, his light and his joy in this world and the next."
