Robert's Funeral Service Video

Robert Richard Roe, age 84 of New London, passed away on Wednesday, October 29, 2025 at St. Joseph Residence.  Robert was born on March 26, 1941 in New London to the late Melvin and Elsie (Rueden) Roe.  He married Verna Hilker on September 21, 1957.  Robert worked on cars at Vanderveer & Johnson Bros service station.  He then went on to work at Curwood until his retirement.

Robert is survived by his wife, Verna; daughter, Cynthia (Barry) Ritchie; grandchildren, Aaron (Sarah) Ritchie, Jessica (Jamie) Daun, Tanner Roe and Austin Roe; great-grandchildren, Trista Ritchie and Avery and Carson Daun; niece, Melissa Freeman and in-laws, Leroy (Barb) Hilker, Darwin (Oreale) Hilker, Lyle (Debby) Hilker, Ardyce (Dan) Guyette, Verlea Winkler and Karen Hilker.

In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his son, Richard; brother, Tom; sister, Theresa; nephew, Dan Freeman and in-laws, Gary (Carol) Hilker, Doug Hilker and Jerry Winkler.

The Funeral Mass for Robert will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 1, 2025 at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church in New London with Fr. Dave Hoffman officiating.  The visitation will take place from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
