Robin Sue
Hilleman
Jul 24, 1963 — Sep 30, 2026
New London
Robin Sue Hilleman (Henson), born July 24, 1963, passed away unexpectedly on September 30, 2026, leaving behind a family who loved her deeply and a lifetime of memories filled with music, faith, creativity, and love.
Robin was the daughter of Sandra Donaldson and Harry “Jim” Powell.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Sandra Brooks; her adoptive father, Ron Henson; her grandmother, Kitty Donaldson; and her grandfather, Leon Donaldson.
Robin is survived by her only child, Branden Hilleman, his wife Jordan, and her two beautiful grandchildren, Kaydence and Ethan, who truly meant the world to her.
She is also survived by her stepfather, Lowell Brooks; her big (little) brother, Rob (Chris) Henson; her sisters, Monica (Rick) Yearton and Penny Osborn; and her BFF and “sister from another mister,” Vick Groth.
Robin also leaves behind her nephews, Christopher, Zachariah, Benjamin, Samuel, Elijah, Marcus, Johnathan, and Kyle; her nieces, Amanda, Cassie, Kaytlyn, Olivia, and Shawnae; along with many beloved great-nieces and great-nephews.
Robin was also blessed with many brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews on her biological father’s side of the family.
Robin had a tremendous love for music, Christ, horses, poetry, nature, and the beauty she found in the world around her. But above everything else, she loved her family deeply.
Music was a special part of Robin’s life. She loved playing the guitar, singing, and writing original songs of her own. She had a creative soul and was always writing, whether through music or poetry.
While her family wishes there could have been more time, they find comfort in knowing that Robin is now being welcomed home by those who went before her. There is little doubt that some of her first embraces in Heaven are being saved for GG Gram and Nana, whom she can now hold again with the same loving arms with which she embraced her family here.
She will be deeply missed as a mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, friend, and family member.
Her songs may have grown quiet here on Earth, but the love behind them will continue to be heard through the family she leaves behind.
John 14:1-3
"Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am."
