Rosella Lillian Zitske, age 91, of Greenville, Wisconsin, was peacefully called home to eternal life on February 5, 2026, at Living Tree Estates in Greenville, just four days shy of her 92nd birthday. Surrounded by care and comfort, Rosella was welcomed into the loving arms of her heavenly Father and reunited with her loved ones.
Rosella was born on February 9, 1934, to Raymond and Dora (Schmidt) Gomm on the family farm in the Town of Maine. On November 4, 1954, she was united in holy marriage to Lyle Zitske at St. Denis Catholic Church in Shiocton.
Rosella worked at various jobs throughout her life; however, she was a homemaker at heart, raising her six children. She found great joy in her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a hard worker; her hands were never idle, whether cooking and baking for family, tending her large garden, or working in her flower beds. In her spare time, she enjoyed bowling, working on puzzles, traveling, and playing cards with friends and family.
A woman of strong faith, Rosella was a longtime and devoted member of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Parish in Greenville. She was a member of various community groups including the Christian Women's Society, the Greenville Homemakers, and the Red Hat Society.
Rosella is lovingly survived by her six children: Joann (Don) Bartels, Lyle (Dona) Zitske, Brenda (Bill) Bergmann, Annette (Eric) Jensen, LuWan Visocky, and Nancy (Marty) Van Camp; grandchildren, Angie (Mike) Coenen, Stephanie (Joe) Gorges, Andy (Charlene) Bartels, Lyle (Felicity) Zitske, Gary Phillips, Mandy Phillips, Scott (Gina) Bergmann, Kate (Josh) Martines, Daniel Koenig, Dr. Lauren Koenig, Nick (Alli) Umland, Morgan Murphy, Lexandra (Paul) Hameister, Cole (Annika) Van Camp, Braden (Melanie) Van Camp, Cassidy Van Camp, and Macalla (Eric) Charbonneau; great-grandchildren, Beck, Ari, Z, Lincoln, Destiny, Eternity, Lily, Lyle, Lila, Makayla (Luke), Jazmyne, Jaeda, Chloe, Nevaeh, Brielle, Kinsleigh, Tristan, Liam, Brandon, Henry, Jaeley, Cahira, Willow, Kolbe, and Theodore; great-great-grandchildren, Evelyn, Noelle, and Audrey; sisters, Germaine Croell and Kathleen Leeman; brother, Raymond (Diane) Gomm; along with many family members and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lyle; parents, Dora and Raymond; her in-laws, Clarence and Beatrice Bellin, brothers, George (Rosie), Jerome, and Charles (Nancy); sisters, Lorraine (Clarence) Schroth, Dorothy (Gerald) Jarek, and Annaceil; brothers-in-law, Duane Blom, Earl Burton, John Croell, and Glenn Leeman.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception. Fr. Michael Warden will officiate. Visitation will take place on Monday, February 9, 2026, at Borchardt & Moder Funeral Home in Hortonville from 4:00-7:00 pm and on Tuesday the 10th at the church from 10:00 am until the time of service.
Rosella will be remembered for her gentle spirit, strong work ethic, and the love she gave to her family and all who knew her. Her legacy lives on in the many lives she touched and the memories she created will be treasured forever.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the staff of Living Tree Estates and Moments Hospice for their compassionate care and support.
