Roselyn Marie
Rummel
July 14, 2023 – July 16, 2023
Roselyn Rummel's Funeral Mass Video
Roselyn "Rosie" Marie Rummel, beloved newborn girl, passed away peacefully on July 16, 2023 at three days old – where she was lifted up into God's loving arms.
Roselyn is survived by her parents: Emily (Kelly) and Dylan Rummel; her grandparents Ken and Rhonda (Horkman) Rummel, Thomas and Sheila (Nussbaum) Kelly; great grandparents Robert and Mary Pat (Omholt) Nussbaum, Thomas Sr. and Marci (Davis) Kelly, and Linda (Leanna) Horkman; aunts Kendra Rummel (Ty Ebben) and Rebecca Kelly (Ervin Stedjee); uncles Ryan Rummel, Samuel Kelly; cousins Dimitri Martin and Adrian Martin; and many other loving extended relatives. She is joined in Heaven by her great grandfather Ronald Horkman and great grandparents Rod and Ann (Fore) Rummel.
Roselyn was born on July 14, 2023 in much anticipation and love to Dylan and Emily Rummel at Froedert Birthing Center in Milwaukee, WI. She was born with a rare congenital heart defect that made her general health fragile. For the blessed days she was here, she received utmost love and warmth from her parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles. Though her health deteriorated over the days, the one constant was the strength that such a small child could muster – proving that she was fighting a battle with strength that could move mountains.
After a strong fight filled with love, tears, hope, and prayer – it was decided that God would be able to give Roselyn some much-needed rest and so, on July 16, 2023, she was surrounded by her parents and other loving family members as she passed peacefully in her mother's arms, hearing her family's voices and feeling their warmth. As we speak, she is playing in the endless green fields of Heaven, filled with not only the joy that her family sent with her, but also the joy of being in the presence of our Heavenly Father – in Whose watchful eyes her spirit shall grow. She is dearly missed by all and will remain in our hearts forevermore.
A Funeral Mass is scheduled for 11:00 am on Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at St. Denis Catholic Church in Shiocton, WI. Fr. Michael Thiel will officiate. Visitation will take place from 9:00 am until the time of the service.
We would like to extend our sincere gratitude for the nurses, doctors, and staff at Children's Wisconsin in Milwaukee for their exceptional, compassionate care for both Roselyn and her family before, during, and after this trying time. In lieu of flowers, the family asks instead for donations to Conquering CHD – a charity dedicated to the research and treatment of congenital heart diseases.
