Rosemary Gomm's Funeral Mass Video Rosemary Gomm, age 95, passed away on Saturday, January 29, 2022, at Forest Glenn Assisted Living in Seymour. She was born in Appleton on December 5, 1926, to the late Philip and Mary (Van Dyke) Hoffmann. On May 6, 1947, she was united in marriage to George O. Gomm. He preceded her in death in 2017. They cherished 70 years of marriage and enjoyed their 4 adopted children.
Rosie was a great caregiver; she cared for her parents and George's parents until their passing.
George and Rosie traveled in their RV for many years and spent winters in McAllen, Texas. They shared their love of camping with their grandkids. Rosie also loved baking for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed bowling, playing cards, Dominoes, Sheepshead, and was pretty lucky. She enjoyed sending out cards; she never forgot a birthday or anniversary. She spent much of her time doing puzzles; she knew it kept her mind sharp. She must have put together 1000 puzzles over the years.
Rosie is survived by her children: Phil Gomm, (special friend Penny Rohm); David (Julie) Gomm; Sue (Rick) Schlintz; Sally (Jamie) Wickesberg; foster children, Debra, Harland, and Danny; grandchildren: Josh (Amanda) Gomm; Scott Schoelzel (special friend, Abby Young); Steve (Mara) Schlintz; Laura Gomm (fiancé, Domingo Garcia); Mason (Haylee) Gomm; Miranda Backman and Sara Rohm; great-grandchildren: Ethan White, Lilly, Jackson and Oscar Gomm, Maya Schoelzel, Charlie and Abe Schlintz, Olivia Garcia, and Emerson Backman. She is further survived by her 9 Godchildren: Bob Blom, Peter Hartlaben, Cindy Glasenapp, Bev Van Griffen, Tim Gomm, Sherry Dienerino, Carl Schroth, Katherine Gomm, and Chrisy Benke, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband George; grandson Brandon; brothers Sylvester and Joe Hoffmann, and a sister Mary Ann.
Funeral Mass for Rosemary will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 2, 2022, at St. Denis Catholic Church, Shiocton with Fr. Michael Thiel officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Forest Glenn for their tender care provided to Rosie.
