Royal "Bud" K. Alf, age 94 of King, WI passed away on Saturday, August 3, 2024 at Central Wisconsin Veteran's Home. Royal was born on September 16, 1929 in Appleton to the late Herman and Mary Alf.  Royal served his country in the US Navy, where he served aboard the USS Henderson for "4 years, 2 months and 18 days"!  He was a decorated war hero from the Henderson's involvement at the beginning of the Korean War.  He worked at James River in Menasha for 32 years.  Royal had a hobby farm…..mostly to keep the boys out of trouble.  He had a strong work ethic and a lifelong passion for fishing.

Royal is survived by his wife of 68 years, Norma; children, Anthony, Thomas (Andrea), Todd (Lyn) and Nancy (Bruce) Hansen; seven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and sister, Phyllis.

In addition to his parents, Royal was preceded in death by his siblings, Charles and Lois and grandson, Matthew Alf.
