Ruth's Funeral Service Video

Ruth B. Jones, age 97, passed away on Monday, March 11, 2024. Ruth was born in Waupaca County on April 1, 1926, daughter to the late Robert and Rebecca (Hansen) Bestul. Ruth was united in marriage to Paul E. Jones on January 24, 1951. They were married for 59 years until Paul's death on February 14, 2010.

Ruth briefly worked at Hortonville Mfg Co. and Lakeside Bakery. Ruth was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great- great grandmother. Ruth enjoyed going to church, traveling, baking, making lefse, crocheting, and spending time with family. Ruth was a long time member of SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Christian Mothers, and Red Hats of Iola.

Ruth is survived by sons, Gary (Peg) Jones, Robert (Stacy) Jones, Allen (Donna) Jones; daughter-in-law, Betty Jones; daughter, Kathryn (Les) Baehman; and a sister, Crystal (Richard) Anderson; as well as 30 grandchildren, 54 great grandchildren, 14 great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Rebecca Bestul; husband, Paul; a son, Jack; daughters-in-law, Judy and Kathy; grandchildren, Joseph, Brenda, Brian and Mark; great grandchildren, Zachery, Briana, Dylan, and Lacey; siblings and their spouses, Harland and Elaine, Evangeline and Clifford, Phillip and Georgia, Earl and Joan, and Geraldine and Richard.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Hortonville with Father Phil Schoofs officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
