It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our sister, Sandy Luedtke. Sandy was a generous hard-working lady. In high school, she started working for Krostue Law Office. When she got paid, she would "share the wealth" with her 6 younger siblings by surprising them with bikes, clothes and chips and dip (which was a real treat!). Eventually, she moved to Nevada, Arizona and North Dakota. Sandy moved back to Wisconsin, where she worked for Menn Law Offices and Sorenson Law Office. She enjoyed working for Bob and Becky, whom she considered friends. Back in the day, she helped her brother at the cemetery and recently worked part-time at St. Joes, until she was diagnosed with breast cancer, which she beat, only to succumb to leukemia. Sandy never had any children of her own, but had "step-children", who proudly called her mom – John and Dan Brush and Delos and Jolene. There were some special grand nieces and nephews, who called her "Grandma Sandy" – Braedy, Ashlei, Allei, Evelyn and Savanna.
Survivors include us sisters, Sherry Prinsen, Patty (Bob) Weber, Joy (Norm) Prinsen and Penny (Brian) Siewert; sister-in-law, Connie Prinsen; nieces and nephews, Chris (Cindy), Laurie (Gary), Shannon, Corey, Michelle (Erik), Ronald, Jodi (Keith), Tracy (Craig), Norm (Heather), Jamie (Jolene), Tawny and Brent; several grandnieces and nephews and her special friends, Yvonne and Luke.
Sandy was preceded in death by our parents, Tony and Dorothy Prinsen; brothers, Tom and Tony Prinsen; baby sister, Cindy Sue; niece, Tara Walbruck; grandniece, Kelli Prinsen; nephew-in-law, Greg Klatt and step-children, Lori and Scott Brush.
Our family would love to thank St. Joseph Residence – you people are awesome! Thank you so much for everything! Also, ThedaCare New London Hospital – you go above and beyond. A shout out to the nursing staff – she loved you! Thank you so much to Pastor Mary Bope from First Lutheran Church in Ogdensburg. Also, thanks to Compassus Hospice.
Per Sandy's wishes, no services will be held.
