Sherryl Gau's Funeral Service Video

Sherryl L. Gau, age 60 of New London, passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2023 after a lengthy illness.  Sherryl was born in New London on February 21, 1963 to the late Ed and Karen (Schuh) Worm.  She attended and graduated from New London Senior High School.  Sherryl had a deep love for music and was a talented keyboard player and singer.  She enjoyed card games, going on walks and an occasional trip to the casino. At the nursing home, she participated in Bingo and loved the activity center. Sherryl was good-hearted and sweet natured.  She grew up on the family farm and enjoyed working alongside her family. Sherryl loved fishing with her dad "Wolf River Ed", often catching frogs for set-lines.

Sherryl is survived by her special friend, John Prahl; her brothers, Gary (Sarah) Worm and Chuck (Betty Dey) Worm and her nieces, Kelly (Cassidy) Olson and Kyla Werner, as well as special relatives, Curt and Marilyn Sommer, Todd Sommer, Jill Sommer and close friend, Wendy Sommer.

Sherryl was preceded in death by her parents and former husband, Joe Gau.

The Funeral Service for Sherryl will be held 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 15, 2024 at Emanuel Lutheran Church in New London.  The visitation will take place at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be at Emanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Town of Lebanon.
