Stanley's Funeral Service Video
Stanley C. Buman, age 83 of Dale, formerly of Greenville, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at his home. Stanley was born on August 9, 1941 to the late Louis and Velma (Lemke) Buman. He married Marilyn Kloehn on October 26, 1963. She preceded him in death in 2012. Stanley was a jack of all trades; he worked hard all his life until he finally started taking it easy in retirement. Working most of his life in the lumber business; Stanley worked at Kindt Lumber for 18 years and Stock Lumber for 25 years. He was always busy with side projects and building things for family and friends. Even after work nights and on the weekends, Stanley assisted on the family farm with his dad and brothers. Stanley was honored to be a founding member of the Greenville Fire Department and proud of how far the department had developed. Stanley was also a charter member of the Greenville Lions Club for 52 years. He was a lifelong member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Dale. In retirement, Stanley enjoyed having breakfast with his Wisconsin diner buddies during the week and being "ring master" of Carly's Corner on Saturdays.
Stanley is survived by his daughter, Denise (David) Wichman; sons, Rick (Stephanie) Buman, Daniel (Jeannine) Buman and Paul Buman and grandchildren, Crystal, Sandra, Sophie and Hailey, who was grandpa's caretaker at the end.
In addition to his parents and wife, Stanley was preceded in death by his brothers, Dennis, Russ, Eugene, Donald and Jerome and his sisters, Louise, Donna and Barb.
The Funeral Service for Stanley will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 21, 2024 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Dale. The visitation will take place on Friday, December 20, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the church and again from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday.
