Steven D. Kadlec, age 61 of New London, passed away on Friday, March 14, 2025 at ThedaCare Medical Center in New London after a lifelong struggle with congestive heart failure.  Steve enjoyed fishing, disc golfing, working on his boat and many outdoor activities.  He was known to be a kind, caring and compassionate person, with a vibrant spirit.

Steve is survived by his best friend and ex-wife, Laurie Myelle, as well as two beloved sons, Matthew Kadlec and Lukas Kadlec.  He is further survived by his grandson, Jasper, who was the light of his life and could always make him smile; a brother and sister; several nieces and nephews and many friends and neighbors.

The family would like to thank all of the emergency service personnel for their hard work.

Steve chose to donate his corneas and soft cartilage to others so their lives would be enriched.  There are no current plans for funeral services, however a Celebration of Steve's Life will be held at a later date.
