Our family is heartbroken to announce the passing of our beloved mother, Thea Erna Ringbauer, who passed away peacefully on Monday, August 4, 2026 at the age of 79 years.

Thea was born in Germany on October 16, 1946 to the late Sebastian and Hilda (Dangel) Straub. She married Robert William Ringbauer on December 28, 1968 and together they shared 54 years together before he was laid to rest in 2023. She was a dedicated mother and caregiver to her family. She took care of everything.

She and Robert resided in both Illinois and Nevada, eventually retiring on their land in Pine River. Thea was the proud and loving mother of four children and a cherished grandmother to six wonderful grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. She loved her family fiercely and she provided a loving home to whomever entered the front door.

Thea touched the lives of everyone who had the honor of knowing her. Her selflessness, warmth, and generous spirit will be remembered forever. She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and compassion that lives on in all of us.

Thea leaves behind her sons, Dwyen (Lisa) Ringbauer, Marcus Ringbauer, Erik (Suzanne) Ringbauer, and Thomas (Katie) Ringbauer; her sister in Germany, Ingaborg Franz; along with grandchildren, Jackson, Madelyn, Tyler, Charlotte, Alexis (Sam) and Addison; great-grandchild, Colton Running; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
