Thomas "Tom" Wheeler, age 61 of New London, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, November 24th. Tom was a graduate of New London High School Class of 1981. He was a great two sport athlete in football and wrestling. Tom went on to win the 1984 Guts Frisbee World Championship with some of his best friends to this day.

Tom was a man of every season- he loved fishing, hunting, golf, and watching wrestling. His best memories include watching his son (Tate) and now grandchildren wrestle.

Tom spent the majority of his career as an over the road truck driver with an impeccable safety record. He most recently spent the last 10+ years at Valley Express.

Tom was the king of one-liners and whether you knew him for hours or years he was going to be sure he would make you laugh.

His son, daughter-in-law, and grandkids brought him the most joy - always ready to share pictures and stories with everyone.

Tom is survived by his son: Tate (Bridget) Wheeler; siblings: Tim Wheeler, Tami (Scott) Crain and Troy (Heather) Wheeler; nephews: Travis (Isela) Ulman, Trevor (Heika) Ulman, Ryan (friend, Emma) Wheeler, and Triton Crain; niece: Bailey (Nick) Gomm; grandchildren: Turner, Maddox, and Diem Wheeler, along with other relatives and many, many friends.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents: Tom and Dar; and sister: Tracey

The Memorial Service for Tom will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 27, 2023 at Cline & Hanson Funeral Home in New London with Rev. Marcus Schulz officiating. The visitation will take place from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
