Verna Buntrock Funeral Service Video

Verna Mae Buntrock of New London, Wisconsin, passed away on Friday, October 17, 2025 at the age of 85. Verna was born in Sampson, Wisconsin on December 21, 1939, to the late Fred and Ida (Hess) Pieper. On October 29, 1961, she and Donald Buntrock were united in marriage. He preceded her in death in 1986.

Verna worked at Hortonville Manufacturing for many years, eventually retiring from Pensar. In her free time, she enjoyed spending time at her cottage in Pickerel Lake. She loved gardening, growing flowers, and attending her grandchildren's sporting events.

Verna is survived by her children, Lynn Buntrock and Jerry (Julie) Buntrock; daughter-in-law, Lori Buntrock; grandchildren, Nick Buntrock, Ashley Buntrock, Megan Buntrock, Lydia (Tyler) Walby, and Isaac (special friend, Anna) Buntrock; as well as great-grandchildren, Michael, Mavrick, and Everett Walby; sisters-in-law, Karen Pieper, Renee Pieper, and Karen Buntrock; and brother-in-law, Gary (Rhonda) Buntrock. She is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; son, Todd; parents, Fred and Ida; her brothers, Fred Pieper and David Pieper; her sister, Helen (Bob) Paiser; her infant sisters, Agnes, Mary and Lorrain; and in-laws, Lawrence and Evelyn Buntrock.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Cheryl, Linda, Bonnie, and Maureen for the care and compassion they gave to Verna.

The Funeral Service for Verna will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 25, 2025 at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in Greenville, Wisconsin with Rev. Chad Starfeldt officiating. The Visitation will be held at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery, Clintonville.
