Viona A. Voeks, age 104, passed away peacefully on Saturday, 12, 2022, at Trinity Terrace.  She was born on December 16, 1917, in Weyauwega, daughter of the late Hugo and Minnie (Ziemer) Paschke. Viona was baptized, confirmed, and married at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Weyauwega.  She attended High School and later attended Bowlby Business College.  She worked for Appleton Motor Company for several years as a bookkeeper.  On April 8, 1947, she was united in marriage to Victor Voeks; at the time of his death they were married for 55 years; he preceded her in death in 2002.  Viona worked as the postmaster in Medina for ten years and she also worked the family business as a bookkeeper and helper.  She spent many hours sewing and crocheting for family and many friends.

Viona is survived by her daughter Susan Voeks; granddaughter Vickie Thompson; great-grandchildren, Michael and Matthew Thompson; and also other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a son Ronald, 2 brothers, Harold and Rolland, and two sisters, Ruth Knox, and Esther Prahl.

Funeral services for Viona will be held on Wednesday, February 23, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Dale with Rev. Paul Ibisch officiating.  Visitation will be held at the church on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.  Burial will be in the Dale Union Cemetery.
