Virginia Peters' Funeral Service Video

Virginia "Ginny" Mae Peters, age 93 of Greenville, received her Christmas wish, which was to spend Christmas in heaven. On Sunday, December 25, 2022, she passed away peacefully at Living Tree Estates in Greenville, where she had been a resident for the past 8 years . Ginny was born on May 1, 1929 in Forest Junction to the late Oscar and Cora (Guse) Keller. She was united in marriage to Richard Peters on May 10, 1947 in Greenville.  He preceded her in death in 1985.

Ginny was an avid reader, which led her to work as a library assistant for Hortonville School District.  She loved books and children.

Ginny is survived by her daughters, Linda Pompa, Diane (William) Connor, Kay (Rex) Tiffin and Kathi (Kevin) Gay; sons, David Peters, John (Barbara) Peters, Paul (Kathleen) Peters and Andy (Bonnie) Peters; daughter-in-law, Annette Peters; nineteen grandchildren and thirty nine great-grandchildren.

Ginny was preceded in death by her husband; son, Mark; son-in-law, Richard Pompa, daughter-in-law, Donna Peters; grandson, Joseph Peters, brother, Eugene (Arline) Keller and mother and father-in-law, Lena and Ervin Peters.

The funeral for Ginny will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 30, 2022 at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in Greenville with Rev. Steve Kline officiating.  The visitation will take place on Thursday, December 29, 2022 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the church and again on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service.  Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park, Appleton.
