Waldene Delzer's Funeral Service Video

Waldene Evelyn Delzer, age 102 of Hortonville passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 29, 2023.  Waldene was born on May 25, 1921 in Paint Rock, Texas to the late Henry and Lola (Caruthers) Rezzlle.  She married Ervin Delzer on March 6, 1943 in Ballinger, Texas.  He preceded her in death in 2006.  Waldene graduated from Ballinger High School with the class of 1939. She went on to graduate from Abilene Business College in 1941. Waldene worked as a book keeper for Ellington Mutual Insurance for twenty years, retiring in 1981. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting and quilting.

Waldene is survived by her children, Marvin (Linda) Delzer, Jeanette (Lee) Haass, Don Delzer, Bob (Pam) Delzer, Linda Delzer and Doris (Andy) Olk; twenty-two grandchildren; thirty- three great-grandchildren; sister, Bernice Davidson and sister-in-law, Lillian Runge.

In addition to her husband, Waldene was preceded in death by her daughter, Phyllis and son, Wayne.

The Funeral Service for Waldene will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 4, 2023 at Borchardt Moder Funeral Home in Hortonville with Joe Mitchell officiating. The visitation will take place on Sunday, December 3, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home and again on Monday, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.  Burial will be in Mosquito Hill Cemetery, Town of Liberty.
