Wayne Allen Dean, age 89 of New London, passed away on Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at Monarch Meadows in New London. Wayne was born on March 17, 1936 in Escanaba, MI to the late Earl and Helen (Topping) Dean. He married Delores Frederick on April 11, 1959. She preceded him in death in 2023. Wayne attended Clintonville High School and then went on to serve his country in the US Army from January 25, 1955 until his discharge on January 24, 1958. After serving in the Army, he worked various jobs, eventually he began working for the New London Post Office, where he served as a mail carrier for 35 years. In his spare time, Wayne started his flea market business, which was a great joy in his life. As a faithful member of Emanuel Lutheran Church, Wayne served as an usher for many years. He enjoyed old cars, was an auctioneer and a man who loved his hats! Wayne loved spoiling his wife and enjoyed spending time with his family. Never taking life too seriously, Wayne was a great role model of authenticity.

He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his wife and parents, Wayne was preceded in death by his brothers, Russell, Larry and Earl Dean; great-grandchild, baby Dove; daughter, Arlene (Gary) Sauerhammer; son, Rod Dean and sisters-in-law, Ilene (Don) Guerin and Geri (Bud) Kriewaldt.
