Wilbur Kenneth Fields, age 77 passed away on Tuesday, January 10, 2023.  He was born on April 12, 1945, in New London, son of the late Lester and Mary (Latza) Fields.  On August 28, 1965, he was united in marriage to Mary Vincent; she preceded him in death in 2016.  Wilbur worked at Neenah Foundry for 30 years, retiring in 1997.  He enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, bowling, and watching the Packers and Brewers. He loved going to Pups Pub every week to sign up for the football boards.

Wilbur is survived by his children: Deborah (Brian) Quaintance; Tammy (Don) Becker; Scott (Tana) Fields and Ann (Scott) Morrell; grandchildren: Kirk (Brittney) Quaintance, Dakota (Kayla) Quaintance, Justine (fiancé Brandon) Vaughan, Jolene (Joe) Forseth, Cory (Jacey) Becker, Andrew (Nicole) Fields, Kirsti (Jimmy) Shepherd, Austin Fields, Avery (Laura) Fields, and Matthew Incrocci, and seventeen great-grandchildren.  He is further survived by sisters, Nancy (Bobby) Besaw and Shirley Philippon; brother-in-law Bill (Violet) Vincent, Bob (Nancy) Vincent; sisters-in-law Irene Champeau and Elaine (Tom) Meyer and also nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Mary, sisters Betty (Merle) Wege, Patricia Bellile, and Dorothy Hopka, brothers-in-law, John Vincent Thomas Vincent, and Gaeten Philippon, and sisters-in-law, Jeanne Vincent, Josie Vincent, and Maria Vincent.

The family would like to thank the staff at Appleton Medical Center (ThedaCare) especially the ICU nurses, Jen, Kristin, and Hope.

Funeral Mass for Wilbur will be held at 11:00 a.m. on January 14, 2023, at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church in New London with Fr. John Kleinschmidt officiating.  Visitation will be at the church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
