Willard Schabo's Funeral Service Video

Willard "Willie" George Schabo of Hortonville, Wisconsin passed away on Wednesday, September 18, 2024 at the age of 88. Willie was born on February 1, 1936 to the late Frank and Julia (Young) Schabo.

Willie was a welder at Kurz & Root in Appleton for over 30 years. Then he worked for five years at Titan Industries in New London until his retirement. Willie enjoyed raising livestock, cutting wood and making wood stoves and log splitters.

Willie is survived by his son, Ron (Shari) Schabo of Black Creek; his daughters, Rene (Doug) Griesbach of Hortonville and Laura (Jeff) Darnick of Hortonville. He is further survived by his brother, Herbert Schabo of Fremont; brother-in-law, Bob Sager; seven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; along with numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Willie was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Julia; his sisters, Arlene, Lavern, Roseland, and Margaret; his brother, Frank; and granddaughter, Mikki.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Kindred Hearts in New London, Care Partners in Hortonville and Good Shepherd in Seymour.

The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 25, 2024 at Borchardt & Moder Funeral Home in Hortonville with Fr. Phil Schoofs officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be at Union Cemetery in Hortonville.
