William "Dave" Bromwell's Funeral Service Video
William "Dave" Bromwell, age 81 of New London, passed away peacefully into the loving arms of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, December 10, 2024. Dave was born on December 14, 1942 in Cambridge, Maryland to the late William Bromwell and Catherine Wilson. Dave raised his four children with Carol and later in life he married Evelyn Dobberstein. Dave worked for the City of New London for 29 years, managing the senior van service. It was there that he met Evelyn and he knew he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her. Together they celebrated 29 wonderful years. From 1995 into retirement, Dave and Evelyn managed the apartment complex where they lived. When he was younger, Dave enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a life-long Brewers fan and always enjoyed attending Timber Rattler games with Evelyn. Dave also looked forward to their annual trip to Branson. Above all, he loved time spent with his family.
Dave is survived by his wife, Evelyn; children, Sandy (Steve) Schwab, Bonnie Hanson, Wanda (Kirk) Jones and Dan Bromwell; stepson, Wynn (Monica) Dobberstein; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, especially his good friend, Dennis Herter. He is further survived by his siblings, James (Ann) Bromwell, Sally Savage and Victoria Amador.
In addition to his parents, Dave was preceded in death by the mother of his children, Carol Bromwell and stepson, Brian Dobberstein.
The Funeral Service for Dave will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 18, 2024 at Trinity Lutheran Church in New London with Rev. Chuck Thomson officiating. The visitation will take place from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will take place in Union Cemetery, Hortonville.
The family wishes to thank the staff at St. Joseph Residence, the staff at Monarch Meadows, along with the ThedaCare New London staff.
