William "Billy" Randall Buschke of New London, Wisconsin December 13, 1970 - July 27, 2023

William "Billy" Buschke, age 52, of New London, WI, passed away on Thursday, July 27, 2023. Bill was born in the town of New London on December 13, 1970 and raised on the family farm in the Town of Union on County Road OO. He was the youngest son of the late Nobert Buschke and Mary Proctor Buschke. He attended Little Wolf High School in Manawa, WI. During high school he played football and in his senior year was honored to play in the 1989 Shrine Bowl as a defensive tackle. After high school he briefly attended UW Madison and later Rose-Hulman University in Terre Haute, Indiana where he played football. He worked at Hillshire Farms in New London for several years and most recently as a supervisor for USIC. Bill was known for his quiet but strong presence, tender heart, big laugh, and a curiosity for learning new things. On the rare occasion that he expressed his opinion, it was always well thought out and most always the right answer. He enjoyed hunting, the outdoors, gardening and wood working. He was a loving and devoted son to his mom, Mary. He was a beloved brother and uncle and a gentle companion to his cat, Bob.

William will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Survivors include, his sisters, Barbara (Bruce) Beyersdorf, Nancy Schley, and Ann Nelson; brothers, Daniel (Tammy) Buschke and Donald (Julie) Buschke and brother-in-law: David Hedtke; nieces and nephews, Michelle Krusa, Kristen (Jeremiah) Hoyord, Tara (Scott) Broughton, Nicholas (Mandie) Schley, Micheal (Sarah) Schley, Joleen (David) Kostuch, Nicholas (Shannon) Schneiderwent, Jeremiah Buschke, Anthony Buschke, Alex Buschke, Taylor (Sean) Robinson, Jonathan Nelson, Allissa (Andy) Bowman, and Kayla Nelson, along with several great-nieces and nephews and his uncle, Carl Creech.

William was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents, Otto & Ruth Buschke and Lester and Lenora (Kernen) Creech; sister, Cynthia Hedtke; brother-in-law, Bill Nelson and nieces and nephews Jamie, Robert, Adam, and Julia Hedtke.

A graveside service for Bill will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, August 11, 2023 at Symco Union Cemetery, Town of Union with Rev. Karen Reimer officiating.  A Celebration of Life will be held following the service at the Union Town Hall, until 7:00 p.m.
