William Ritchie's Funeral Mass Video

William D. Ritchie, age 85 of Shiocton, passed away on Thursday, June 8, 2023 at his home with his family by his side.  William was born on August 21, 1937 in the town of Maine, son of the late Woodrow and Leone (Roberts) Ritchie.  On October 8, 1960 he married Gloria Allen. William served his country in the US Army.  He enjoyed fishing and playing cards.  William loved gardening and canning his harvest.  He made maple syrup and homemade wine and enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers.  William worked construction for Boldt and Utsch his entire career, retiring in 1991.

William is survived by his wife, Gloria; children, Vickie, Billy and Jim Ritchie; grandchildren, Jaimie, Amber and Woodrow Ritchie; great-grandchildren, Ben, Daniel, Harmony, Abe and Grayson; siblings, Wayne (Marcia) Ritchie, Bob (Sally) Ritchie, Larry Ritchie and Gary (Alyce) Ritchie Pat Bessette and Darlene Lederhaus.

William was preceded in death by his parents; sister-in-law, Judy Ritchie and brother-in-laws, David Thoma and Lee Bessette.

The Mass of Christian Burial for William will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 15, 2023 at St. Denis Catholic Church in Shiocton with Fr. David Greskowiak officiating.  The visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the mass.  Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
