Yvonne Laura Kjos, 92, of New London, WI, we nt home to be with her Savior on Thursday, November 21, 2024.

Yvonne was born February 11, 1932, at home in Sheridan, WI to Emil and Hettie (Baker) Score.  She attended Washburn Farm Grade School, a one-room schoolhouse through the 8th grade.  She graduated in 1950 from Prairie Farm High School. She attended the Lutheran Bible Institute in Minneapolis, MN, graduating in 1954. On March 23, 1955, Yvonne married Edwin Kjos. They were in pastoral ministry which had them serving in Minnesota, South Dakota, and Montana. Over the years, she worked at various healthcare facilities as a CNA, and later a TMA, until she retired at the age of 62.

Yvonne enjoyed reading, studying the Bible, putting puzzles together, and reading and writing letters. She also enjoyed the many friendships that she made throughout her 92 years, but most of all, she treasured the time she spent with her children and grandchildren. Her greatest desire was for all of them to know the Lord, and she was a constant prayer warrior on their behalf.

She is survived by her children, Karen (Dean) Whitby of Blaine, MN, David (Kelly) Kjos of Hazen, ND, Linda (Jay) Hoffman of New London, WI, and Brenda Nikunen of Watertown, MN; daughter-in-law, Debbie Kjos; 24 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sister, Patricia (Jim) Fleischhacker; sisters-in-law, Helen Graham, Bea Score, and Gerda Score; brother-in-law: Dale Cofield; many nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Emil and Hettie Score, her husband Edwin Kjos, son, Mark Kjos; grandsons, Peter Nikunen, Darren Whitby, and Christopher Ladwig; brothers Orville, Severt, and Paul Score; sisters Edith Bloch, Ann Bergeon, Elaine Seivert, Marjorie Mrdutt, and Nancy Cofield; father and mother-in-law, John and Dagney Kjos; brothers-in-law, Andrew Mrdutt, Charles Seivert, Howard, John, and LeRoy Kjos; sisters-in-law, Delores Kjos and Marilyn Score.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, December 21, 2024, at Watertown Evangelical Free Church, Watertown, MN with Rev. Lyndon Korhonen officiating. Visitation will be from 9-11 a.m. prior to the service.
