Yvonne Matz's Memorial Service Video

Yvonne K. Matz of Greenville, Wisconsin, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, December 28, 2023 at the Theda Care Neenah Hospital. Yvonne was born on March 28, 1938 in Bowler, Wisconsin, to the late Omar and Velda (Leider) Sengstock.

On July 12, 1958, Yvonne was united in marriage to Gene Matz in Bowler, Wisconsin.

Yvonne was one of the charter members for Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church where she was a dedicated servant for over fifty years. Yvonne enjoyed many things, but nothing more than family and friends.

Yvonne is survived by her husband, Gene Matz; children, Carol (Dean) Zamzow, and Brian (Autumn) Matz; grandchildren, Megan (Shawn) Schaffer, Kady (Fiance Nolan), Davis, Campbell; great-grandchild, Ella Schaffer; sisters, LouAnn Herzberg, Marlese (Dave) Lindsay, Pat Zeinert; sisters-in -law, Rita Norton, Carolyn (Lloyd) Gutt.

Yvonne was preceded in death by her parents, Omar and Velda; brothers-in-law, Robert Herzberg, Jay Boldig, Rodney Zeinert, Dewey Norton, Rodney Matz, Oscar West; sister-in-law, Esther West.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 5, 2024, at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in Greenville with Rev. Steve Kline officiating. Visitation will be at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Private family burial will be held at a later date at Highland Memorial Park.
