September 13, 1931 – June 10, 2017
Danella S. (Paulick) Huppler, age 85, was welcomed into Heaven on Saturday, June 10, 2017. She was born Sylvia on September 13, 1931, in Oshkosh, WI, daughter of the late Jacob and Mary (Spanbauer) Paulick. At age 14, 1945, she entered Holy Family Convent in Manitowoc to become a nun. She officially became a nun in 1951 and was bestowed the name Danella, a name in honor of her brother Daniel. Subsequently, Sister Danella attended Silver Lake College in Manitowoc. She received her BS Degree in Elementary Education. Her teaching career was dedicated to teach in the Catholic School System in grades 1-6. Her teaching career took her out to Zanesville Ohio, West Point Nebraska and Nadeau Michigan. In Wisconsin, she journeyed to Ashton, Tennyson, Tigerton, Sacred Heart and St. Paul's in Manitowoc; plus St. Bernadette's and St. Therese in Appleton.
During the summer, she attended Stout University along with summer classes in Appleton to pursue a Masters Degree in Guidance for the Elementary Grades. After teaching, she began a new and varied career of challenging opportunities. Her final job was tutoring for 2 years in the STEP program in New London.
All who knew Danella, found her to be a vivacious, gregarious, generous and loving people person. She was always there for anyone in time of need to render support, compassion and great gift of listening. "To give and not count the cost" was her motto. Her beautiful smile and sparkling blue eyes brought out the beauty of her soul. This touched every person and her many students. Her influence continued to countless persons who she's touched in her lifetime.
In addition to her interest in writing and spiritual meditation another great love was her Faith and dedication to her church. She was a member of Most Precious Blood Parish in New London, the PCCW, Study Club and Bible groups. Whenever it was possible, she volunteered in the Most Precious Blood Resale Shop. Her ministries within the parish included being lector, Eucharistic minister and leading the Communion Service every on alternating Monday mornings.
