Age 64, of New London, passed away in Appleton on Sunday, April 8, 2007. She was born in New London on February 3, 1943, to John & Frances Lipke. DeDe resided in New London all her life. She was a 1961 graduate of New London High School. She was employed as a chair side dental assistant by Dr. Gordon Meiklejohn for many years, and most recently at Festival Foods in New London. She was a member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ in New London. She had a very special love for her nieces and nephews and was considered a special aunt by all of them. She was active in the Relay for Life and the After Reach Cancer Group. DeDe loved to travel and spend time with family and friends at the lake. Survivors include her mother Frances I. Dexter, New London; two sisters: Donna Jaeger, New London; Fran "Pinki" (Bill) Barrington, Bear Lake; nieces and nephews: Debra Jaeger, Karie (Pete) Thorpe, Scott Jaeger, Chris (Mike) Barrington Davis, Eric Barrington; great nieces and nephews: Christian Neal, Joel and Chad Woodhouse and Jim Thorpe and Andy Thorpe. She was preceded in death by her father John Lipke, and her step-father Elmer Dexter. Funeral services for DeDe will be held on Thursday April 12, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Congregational United Church of Christ in New London with the Rev. Robin Reed officiating. Friends may call directly at the church on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. A memorial fund has been established.
